Upgrade needed

I just downloaded iOS 10.1.1 on my iPhone 6s. When I clicked on this app, I received a pop-up message that said the app was slowing down my iPhone because it needs to be upgraded.
Please do so, or I may need to delete it & find another shopping list app. Thank you!!
